Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Review

The Green Apple Peel is an at-home peel mask, which claims to reveal " a smooth, glowing complexion."

How it works: fruit acids work to exfoliate skin cells to reduce breakouts and help discoloration.

Much like a mask you smooth this product on your face and allow it to dry for 10 minutes, then rinse off.  The product is slightly creamy and feels more like a serum.  When I first used the product the smell I found really strange and slightly yogurt-like.

Verdict: I think this peel is an excellent alternative to using exfoliators, which can be messy and abrasive.  The sensitive formula does not irritate, sting or burn like many other peels.  After rinsing, your skin feels smooth and the next day I seem to notice a reduction of redness on my face.  I would highly recommend this product to combine steps in a skincare routine since it works like a mask and an exfoliator.  Plus, the trial size is only $5 and lasts quite a few applications.

Juice Beauty's Organics to Clear Skin

So yesterday I finally bought the Juice Beauty Organics to Clear Skin product set at Ulta which I am very excited about.  My skin has not been very nice to me this winter. One week its great, the next my face is break out city. Maybe it has something to do with the unpredictable weather we've been having in New York? Who knows.
I have to admit that I have more skin care products than most people will need in their lifetime and while many of them I really love, I needed to buy something to combat acne without drying out my skin. Since I have just started using the products since last night, this is just a first impression post but I will be doing a separate mini review of the Green Apple Peel because I have used it before.

To start off, the kit is $39 and comes with a face cleanser, face peel, blemish serum and moisturizer.  This is a little on the pricey side for an introductory skincare kit but compared to others I have bought in the past, the products are a lot larger.

The cleanser is 4 fl. oz. which is a lot for a 30 day supply so I find this a great deal. What I also love is the pump can be locked which makes this face wash travel friendly, a huge plus for me! The scent is not very strong, maybe slightly sweet.  I do wish the cleanser foamed up a little more so that I could use it to remove my eye makeup but the formula is too thin and watery.  However, I know that many organic products don't tend to lather that much because they aren't made with harsh detergents and soap.

The blemish serum and oil-free moisturizer (1 fl oz each) both glide on smoothly and hydrate well.  A little product goes a long way for both.  I read a few reviews before testing out the products and have read that many people find the serum to be sticky, but I don't find this the case at all.  These products also have a very mild scent.

I can't wait to see the results after 30 days. I'm hoping the products are as good as I've heard. I will be posting again in a month with the results.
